8 Symptoms of Anxiety. Treatment Can Help!
Living in New York City can be stressful or wonderful. And much of how you experience it depends on how you see the world and yourself—how you think about and deal with the people and situations in your life.
8 Symptoms of Anxiety
Anxiety can be a minor theme in the background of your life or it can be incapacitating, and everything in between. These are just some of the symptoms of anxiety:
Difficulty sleeping
Panic attacks
Fatigue
Irritability
Inability to concentrate and/or make decisions
Obsessive thoughts
Feeling overwhelmed
Muscle tension
While these are common symptoms of anxiety, it takes a professional to accurately make the diagnosis. The internet is a source of valuable information, but "Dr. Google" is not a reliable professional to consult for a diagnosis. You may be the person who appears to worry all the time—the obvious worrier—or you may be the person who appears calm, but is worrying all the time on the inside. Whether your worrying is obvious or invisible, it keeps you from finding the joy in everyday life. How can you enjoy your vacation if you’re worried about the weather or whether the plane will crash? How can you enjoy all that New York City has to offer if you’re worried about a terrorist attack or getting mugged?
